Surf Jam is DAK's second summer release – a dense, jam-like natural process Ethiopian coffee from the Chelchele washing and drying station, located in the village of the same name in the Gedeb district (2026 harvest). Here, coffee grows between 1,900 and 2,100 meters above sea level, and heirloom varietal trees are cultivated among Enset plants, beans, and avocados, in the region's fertile red-brown soil.
The natural processing, where whole cherries are slowly dried on raised beds, concentrates the fruit's sweetness in the bean and gives the coffee the dense and creamy character that inspired its name.
In the cup: blackberries, cherry jam, and dates – a sweet, generous, and full-bodied coffee.
