Mexico La Perla is a washed coffee from the La Perla farm in Ixhuacán de los Reyes, Veracruz — the farm that won first place at Cup of Excellence Mexico 2024. It is grown at 1,500–1,700 meters by Ernesto Perez, a three-time Cup of Excellence winner, and roasted super-light to highlight the layered ice cream, cherry, and chocolate notes.

The farm's story is remarkable for its brevity: La Perla remained unplanted until 2021, and in its first real harvests, it already won Mexico's national competition — a result that reflects Ernesto's land selection and management more than luck.

In the cup, La Perla is both indulgent and precise: a creamy, dessert-like sweetness, juicy cherry, and chocolate that unfurls in layers, all on a dense, velvety body. The washed processing keeps each layer clearly defined.

In the cup: chocolate, ice cream, and cherry.

🇧🇬 Dabov

DABOV Specialty Coffee was founded in 2008 in Bulgaria, out of a desire to redefine quality standards in the hot beverage industry. Its founder, Jordan Dabov, is an iconic figure in the field, being the only Bulgarian juror in the prestigious international Cup of Excellence (COE) competition. This expertise allows him to travel worldwide as a "coffee hunter," personally selecting rare, award-winning lots with scores over 86 points, which are then delivered directly to the roastery in Sofia.
